This wonderful piece has a 4 tone Ding-Dong sound which is close to the Westminster sound. The clock makes the sound 1 time at a quarter past, 2 times at half past and 3 times at three quarters. At all full hours the clocks sounds 4 times. In addition to this at all full hours one of the bells is struck and sounds according to the actual time (for example 7 times at 7 PM).
This clock has been elected "Black Forest clock of the year" in 2001. This is the most important award of the cuckoo clock industry in the Black Forest.
